Tesla

If your 30 plus in age, you should remeber the 80's vaguely. The big hair, gobs of makeup, and rock and roll bands. This past Friday, I had the opportunity to go back down memory lane with Tesla. I remebered as a kid walking down to the Coast to Coast store in our little town and buying my first hard rock album. Yes, album, the big round black thing with a bunch of grooves in it that spun on a huge device with a needle that made the music, a phonograph. Tesla was that first album.

I couldn't tell you how excited I was to be able to see them in person let alone hang out back stage as Genesee Theatres photo man. It truely is unbelieveable that these guys off stage are no different than you or me. These guys were truly humble, and just wanted to hang out, until there onstage. This is the place for them to let all the fustration of the world come out. It was a great concert, after 23 years of being together, these guy still "rock"!

Tesla also had two great warm up bands to get the juices flowing for the main event. The first set belong to a band named Damaged. They were up there for almost an hour just jamming away. They have a great sound to them and my feeling, if it matters, you will be seeing alot more of them in the near future.

The second set with The Leo Project was another jam session of rock and roll 80's style. Minus the big hair and gobs of makeup. Tesla couldn't made a better choice before taking the stage, than to have these great bands get everybody to rock the night away.

Genesee Theatre Jazmine Sullivan

What another great concert event at Genesee Theatre. Stick & Move Production brought 5 time Grammy nominated singer Jazmine Sullivan and local talent for a great night of entertainment.

The night kicked of with Sonya D, followed by Leon Rodgers, Cache City, Reign, Jeremiah, Ben One, and all ended with Jazmine Sullivan.

Queen at Genesee Theater

QUEEN

I had an opportunity to shoot a great tribute band to Queen at Genesee Theater in Waukegan, a JAM Production. What a great show! I hate to admit that I'm old enough to really know the real Queen, but hey, these guys put on great performance. The show was about 2 and half hours long, and did just about all the songs I can remember. I would definitely recommed seeing this show if your Queen fan. He even had Freddy's accent going on.

Wow, what a crazy month, I've wanted to post a couple times before now, but you know, life gets in the way. Here are some of the pictures from Mark Gangloff, gold metalist in the Bejing Olympics, visiting our local grade school. A whole bunch of thanks go out to Discovery Network for putting this together and having Mark visit our school.

Hello everyone and Happy New Year, I the know the month is already over. It was hard getting out from under the rock I've been under all month.



Just a couple quick things to get out in the coming days:



1) All the pictures for Midwest Dance Fest are up and ready for viewing. They will be there until March 25, so make sure you get over to the website randyfrostphotography.com and get your orders in



2) I will be shooting an Olympic Gold Metalist Swimmer at out local grade school. Our local grade school won a contest last year to have one of the Olympic Swimmers come to school and meet the kids. Its not Micheal Phelps, which I'm kinda of glad, nothing against Micheal, but we did send a TEAM of swimmers over there. It would be nice to meet and the kids to know there were other people at the Olympics other than Mr. Phelps. He was suppose to come last year, but was unable to make it. I think the Olympics got in the way, but anyway he's going to be here on Friday. Stay tuned for that posting, it should be interesting, a thousand screaming kids. I can just hear it now, better pack some asprin.
